Venting Hobs

What is a Venting Hob?

A venting hob is a type of hob that has an in-built fan which allows you to extract steam, grease and food smells from the air. It replaces the need for a separate cooker hood, be it a large chimney cooker hood or a smaller built-in canopy cooker hood. The compact nature of a venting hob means you don’t have to worry about wall or ceiling space if you require a fan in your kitchen.

Venting hobs are also usually induction hobs, which give you a high-quality level of cooking. Induction hobs use magnets to heat up the pan instead of the hob itself, allowing you to have a high level of control when cooking. It also means the induction hob doesn’t retain as much heat as a standard hob after use, so it reduces the risk of burns.

If you’re after a countertop extractor fan but don’t want it integrated with your hob, then you can take a look at our range of downdraft cooker hoods. And if you’re looking for a hob without a fan, you might be interested in a ceramic hob or gas hob.

You can find a number of big name brands available at NE Appliances, including Bosch, Faber, Neff and Elica.
