As Bristol’s largest independent appliance business NE Appliances has gone from strength to strength since opening their first Bristol Appliance showroom in 1992. The staff work hard to ensure that customers in Bristol and beyond receive the best possible service when shopping for their appliances. Thanks to the hard work of their team NE Appliances are delighted to have been awarded Best Retailer award at this year’s Bristol Life Awards.
The judges noted “Rebrand helped power sales up 99% with appliance box numbers soaring. Took a great risk for big reward, and current sales now on track for £13/15m. Thriving.” NE Appliances took a risk in 2021 moving their Bristol appliance showroom from one side of the city to the other. In May 2021 the business closed the doors on its Gloucester Road showroom and moved to South Bristol to open their new state-of-the-art, purpose-built appliance showroom in Hengrove, Bristol. MD Ben Gilks said “we are so proud to have won this award, it’s a real testament to the hard work that every one of our staff members puts into the business. We have grown but we are a Bristol business at heart and it’s great to be recognised by the Bristol Life Awards.”
NE Appliances have worked hard to make their Bristol appliance showroom as user friendly as possible, investing in creating displays which show the appliances in order of cost rather than just grouped together by brand. The showroom boasts the largest displays of refrigeration, built in appliances and range cookers in Bristol as well as a new kitchen showroom so that customers can shop for both their cabinetry and their appliances all under one roof. Recently they have also introduced in store buying guides helping customers understand some of the key features to look for when shopping for their appliances. The NE Appliances team had a wonderful evening at the Bristol Life Awards, happy to celebrate not only the winning of the Best Retailer award but also all the hard work that went into making NE Appliances the best Bristol appliance retailer and the largest independent appliance retailer in the South West. With plans to expand further and continue building this award is sure to be only the start of the success seen by this Bristol institution.
